Celebrities celebrate National Voter Registration Day

It’s National Voter Registration Day, and some of Hollywood’s biggest names want to make sure your voice is heard in November’s midterm elections. On September 20, When We All Vote — the initiative to increase voter turnout — shared a video featuring stars like Liza Koshy calling for registration as part of the organization’s September 19-25 National Voter Registration Week of Action.

In the video clip, YouTube star Bretman Rock says, “If we’re going to celebrate this day properly, there are three things you need to do.” Those things include checking the status of your voter registration online, and texting and texting three friends asking them to “check their registration status as well,” adds When We All Vote creator former First Lady Michelle Obama. She also encourages viewers to “get involved with When We All Vote and volunteer to help get your community registered and ready to vote” to “create a better future for all of us.”

Other stars have posted to social media in collaboration with When We All Vote, including Kerry Washington and Yvette Nicole Brown. The organization also hosted a Supermajority x Argent pop-up in New York City on Tuesday, which attracted several celebs (and POPSUGAR!) to promote the #VotingSuitsYou campaign.
