‘Danger!’ Fans unhappy with possible rule change

“Danger!” can change his game!

Executive producer Michael Davies has revealed the long-running game show could potentially revamp its rulebook.

Davies recently appeared on the show Inside Jeopardy! Podcast that he thinks of giving contestants money if they get all the clues in a category right.

He detailed his co-producer Sarah Whitcomb Foss and Jeopardy! winner Buzzy Cohen’s idea that the changes could happen this season.

β€œIt’s a moment in the studio; it’s a great thing,” said Davies.

He added that the cash bonus is an entirely separate and additional reward and has no bearing on who won the game.

He continued, “It might also give people who are lagging behind an incentive to try to get into a category and get something out of the game beyond their second or third place prize.”

Many Twitter users were confused about the approval and questioned how exactly the game would work.

“If the contestant can take home a tangible prize but one that doesn’t affect the game’s score, I’d be floored,” someone said explained.

They added: “I also think it shouldn’t be worth much more than the sum of the clues. For example, a $35,000 car for $6,000 correct answers seems like overkill to me.”

“No no no no no. No sponsorship awards, no BS. Don’t turn this game into #Wheel of Destiny,” one shouted.

Other queried: “Why? I mean why? … There’s nothing wrong with that #Danger! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

ken-jennings
Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik will host Jeopardy! for the time being.

Davies announced in July that Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik would host Jeopardy! for now.

Fans were also unhappy with this change and took to social media to express their disappointment.

“I won’t be seeing @Jeopardy until @KenJennings becomes the primary and sole host. This shifter sucks! #boycottjeopardy because they have jerks running it. What a mess,” one commenter said.

“And I’m not watching all the time,” another person said.
