Hayden Panettiere is ready for it Scream one more time for her life.
The Heroes star reprises her role as Kirby Reed in upcoming Scream 6.
The sixth film in the famous horror franchise marks a major comeback for the 32-year-old amid her various legal and relationship woes.
Panettiere played the teen-turned-last-girl role in 2011’s Scream 4.
The latest film will be the actress’ first big-screen role since she wrapped up a six-year season of the musical series Nashville in 2018.
The fifth “Scream” movie was released in January 2022, and the next one is set to start filming later this summer.
Melissa Barrera, Jasmine Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega also return for the sixth part.
The foursome famously survived the Ghostface murders in the last film. OG cast members Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox will also return to fight Ghostface. Co-star David Arquette was killed by the masked killer in the fifth film.
Scream 6 will follow the four survivors as they leave their small town of Woodsboro behind and begin a new chapter.
Panettiere has mostly stayed out of the spotlight in recent years due to her ongoing issues with boyfriend Brian Hickerson, who she has been dating since 2018.
The couple recently got into an on-camera fight in March after getting drunk at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood, California.
But a source told Us Weekly that the New York native is sticking by her boyfriend. “She swears that Brian has changed for the better since he was incarcerated and courses on anger taught him to control his temper,” the insider said at the time.
The couple got into a previous physical altercation in Los Angeles in May 2019, which resulted in Hickerson being arrested for domestic violence offenses. He was then ordered to stay 100 meters from Panettiere.
However, the case was dismissed in October of that year and Hickerson was arrested again and charged with domestic battery in 2020.
Scream 6 is scheduled for worldwide release on March 31, 2023.
