Johnny Depp received a warm welcome on TikTok.
The 58-year-old entertainer posted his first video on Tuesday to thank fans – and they’re already going crazy for it: his video has garnered 2.7 million views in less than two hours since he shared it on the platform Has.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star joined TikTok on Tuesday and had 4.5 million loyal followers.
Accompanied by Love Joys’ “Stranger,” his clip thanked followers for their support during his controversial defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.
On both Instagram and TikTok, he wrote alongside his post: “To all my most valued, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we’ve seen everything together.”
“We walked the same path together,” the Kentucky native continued. “We did the right thing together, all because you cared about it. And now we will all move forward together.”
The fan tribute continued: “You are my employers as always and once again I’m limited to not saying thank you in any way other than just saying thank you. So thank you. My love & respect, JD.”
The TikTok was a montage of footage of fans holding signs of support and cheering for Depp throughout the process. Clips of him playing guitar, piano and singing on stage were also shown.
Depp has been playing concerts in the UK with his musician friend Jeff Beck since May.
Many people have commented on Depp’s video on Instagram, including several stars. Model Naomi Campbell wrote a series of red hearts next to the word “wiggles.”
Singer Shannon K added, “We love you Johnny,” with multiple heart emojis.
The Hills alum Frankie Delgado wrote a simple fire emoji.
Depp took his friends to a celebratory Indian feast after his trial win on Sunday night in Birmingham, England.
The Dark Shadows graduate won a major victory on June 1 when he was awarded a $10.35 million judgment in court.
He treated himself to a meal at Varanasi restaurant over the weekend that was worth over $62,000 (£50,000) for himself and 20 of his closest friends.
