Bad Seeds frontman Nick Cave’s son Jethro Lazenby has died at the age of 31.
Cave, 64, confirmed his son’s death to NME on Monday in a statement: “It is with great sadness that I confirm that my son Jethro has passed away.”
“We would be grateful for the family’s privacy at this point,” he added.
So far, no cause of death for Lazenby has been announced.
He also worked as an actor, photographer and model and also went by the name Jethro Cave.
He was jailed earlier this year after assaulting his mother Beau Lazenby in Melbourne, Australia, the Guardian reported.
Born in Melbourne in 1991, Lazenby found out at the age of 8 that the Australian musician was his father.
He has appeared in projects such as Corroboree (2007) and My Little Princess (2011).
Cave’s son with Susie Bick, Arthur, died in 2015 after falling off a cliff in Brighton, England. He was only 15 years old.
The coroner determined at the time that Arthur’s death was an accident and that he had taken LSD shortly before his death.
