Post Malone had a scare on Saturday night. The rapper was playing a concert at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis when his performance of “Circles” derailed after stepping into a hole on stage where his guitar had just been lowered. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Malone apparently didn’t realize the hole wasn’t covered. In video of the concert obtained by TMZ, he appeared to bruise his ribs in the fall and then lay onstage in pain.
Paramedics quickly rushed to his side, where they treated the rapper for a few minutes before he left the stage, promising fans he would be back shortly. After 15 minutes, Malone returned and told the crowd, “There was a huge hole on the stage!”
He reportedly continued to hold his chest as he sang “Rockstar” and “Cooped Up.” He then played at least three more songs for a total of 17 songs before apologizing to his fans and ending the concert a little earlier. The Post-Dispatch reports that even after saying goodnight, he stayed onstage to sign autographs before exiting the venue.
It’s unclear if Malone sought medical treatment after the concert ended or what his condition is now. As of this writing, the 27-year-old is scheduled to perform in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, September 18 as part of his ongoing Twelve Carat Tour. Malone has yet to give his fans an update on his condition. POPSUGAR reached out to the “Circles” rapper’s reps for comment, but didn’t receive an immediate response.
