“The Big Lebowski” actor Jack Kehler has died at the age of 75

Jack Kehler, best known for his role in The Big Lebowski, has died at the age of 75.

His son, Eddie Kehler, revealed the heartbreaking news to Deadline on Monday, explaining his beloved father had died of complications from leukemia.

The actor, who starred in the 1998 classic as The Dude’s landlord, Marty, died Saturday at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Kehler’s glittering television career began in 1983 when he landed the role of a gas station attendant on Strange Invaders.

Though it was a small role, it eventually led him to appear as Sergeant Cooper in the 1986 miniseries Fresno.

Kehler starred in the 1991 hit film Point Break opposite Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, and later that year secured a role in Lawrence Kasdan’s crime drama Grand Canyon.

His screen career also earned him guest roles on Waterworld, McKenna and Murder One. In the 2000s, he made brief appearances on shows such as 7th Heaven, NYPD Blue, 24, and Mad Men.

In recent years, Kehler has had a recurring role on the Prime Video show The Man in the High Castle. His last on-screen cheer was on Hulu’s hit show Love, Victor last year.

Kehler is survived by his wife Shawn Casey; his son Eddie and his wife Marie-Anne; as well as her son Liam.
